Drama/Storytelling Facilitators for
Teacher CPD programme (EYFS & KS1)
Context
We are recruiting for 3 practitioners to join a cohort of facilitators learning and delivering our Paul Hamlyn funded programme, ‘The Magic Storybox Approach to Primary Curriculum’.
The programme is part of the Paul Hamlyn Foundation’s Teacher Development Fund, which aims to ‘support teachers to develop arts-based approaches which create equitable classrooms where all children learn and thrive’.
A Drama in Education practitioner working with teachers and young learners (ages 4 to 7) should have a mix of essential and desirable training and attributes to effectively engage children and support their learning through drama.
Payment and Contract
The anticipated contract fee for this will be in the region of £7,000.
Initial contract for 12 months with opportunity for extension for an additional 12 months following review. Facilitators will be employed on a freelance basis and will be expected to provide details of their own insurance and DBS check.

Shortlisting and Recruitment process
Candidates that are successfully shortlisted will be invited to deliver a short 20-30 minute task on 10th July 2025, working with a group of EYFS/KS1 children from our programme. This will take place at a school in Stoke on Trent.
Appointed candidates will be informed and invited to an initial cohort breakfast meeting on Wednesday 16th July 2025, 8.30 to 10.00am.
Become a board member
As part of our ongoing commitment to inclusivity, relevance and dynamism, Partners in Creative Learning CIC is seeking enthusiastic new board members.
What does being a Board member involve?
Attending quarterly board meetings (usually online - Microsoft Teams) to provide oversight, scrutiny, advice and support as well as ensuring the organisation is well managed and risks identified and managed. The time required is 1-2 days every quarter.
You will have the best interests of PiCL at heart when attending meetings, making decisions and representing the organization.
You will engage in decision making and share your perspective ideas, advice and knowledge with the rest of the board.
You will also be someone who is willing and able to shout about the work of PiCL.
This is an unpaid role however PiCL will reimburse board members for any reasonable expenses incurred such as travel.
Desired skills:
A passion for improving the lives of children and young people through creativity and culture.
Knowledge of the challenges faced by children and young people in Stoke-on-Trent.
