PiCL are seeking to engage an individual or organisation to compile an evaluation report on the impact and outcomes of our Creative Careers and Work Experience Activity.
Key Details
The contracted expectations will include:
A data report and gaps analysis based on local education partners, to identify opportunities to support gaps in knowledge, skills and resources
Working with our partners and stakeholders to understand the impact and outcomes of activity
Compiling the key learnings from the activity
Collate any relevant data and information
Delivering a report to our Team on the key findings
Advising suggested actions or next steps
Advise on future evaluation tools relevant to collecting the related information for this programme strand
We invite proposals from individuals or organisations with:
Experience evaluating educational or young people focused activity
Expertise in compiling and analysing data and impact findings
Experience in evaluating and reporting on creative and arts activity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with National Portfolio Organisations is desired but not essential.
Travel in and around North Staffordshire will be required.
Reporting
The appointed individual or organisation will report to the Executive Director/Programme Director, with support from the Programme Manager. They will also be required to work closely with the PiCL team and our external stakeholders, partners and delivery team.
Budget
We invite applications to deliver this brief for a budget under £5000.
Please include a breakdown of your budget and cost allocation in your submission.
We envisage the commission being the equivalent to circa 12-15 days over the project period. The appointed person or organisation will need to be responsible for their own National Insurance and tax.

Freelance Film Maker - CASCADE
We are looking for an experienced filmmaker/consortium of artists to work with Year 7 & 8 students (the CASCADE group) at Haywood Academy (City Learning Trust) as part of Stoke Creates’ CASCADE Programme.
As part of the CASCADE programme, we are looking to commission a filmmaker/a consortium of artists to create a short film with the CASCADE group about/for Burslem, Stoke-On-Trent which will be launched in June 2026.

You will need to:
Be comfortable developing and creating work with young people.
Be enthusiastic about sharing their learning and knowledge with the next generation of creatives.
Deliver a film project with the CASCADE steering group focused on fostering community pride for Burslem and developing new creative skills.
Collaborate with CASCADE’s Creative Producer & the CASCADE steering group to develop and create the film through a series of workshops that take place in Haywood Academy, Smallthorne Primary Academy & Mill Hill Primary Academy.
Positively engage young people in the production process of the film.
Create a short film which, whilst possibly referencing the history of the Town, is also forward looking and aspirational – something that the students and residents can be proud of.
Have Public Liability Insurance (up to £5 million).
Have an Enhanced DBS check or willing to undergo one.
Fee: £8500 including VAT

The chosen artist/s will work closely with CASCADE’s Creative Producer and Year 7 & 8 students (the CASCADE group) from Haywood Academy (City Learning Trust) to develop and create the audio trail which will be launched in June 2026.
The chosen artist/s must:
Be comfortable developing and creating work with young people.
Be enthusiastic about sharing their learning and knowledge with the next generation of creatives.

Become a board member
As part of our ongoing commitment to inclusivity, relevance and dynamism, Partners in Creative Learning CIC is seeking enthusiastic new board members.
What does being a Board member involve?
Attending quarterly board meetings (usually online - Microsoft Teams) to provide oversight, scrutiny, advice and support as well as ensuring the organisation is well managed and risks identified and managed. The time required is 1-2 days every quarter.
You will have the best interests of PiCL at heart when attending meetings, making decisions and representing the organization.
You will engage in decision making and share your perspective ideas, advice and knowledge with the rest of the board.
You will also be someone who is willing and able to shout about the work of PiCL.
This is an unpaid role however PiCL will reimburse board members for any reasonable expenses incurred such as travel.
Desired skills:
A passion for improving the lives of children and young people through creativity and culture.
Knowledge of the challenges faced by children and young people in Stoke-on-Trent.
