Creative Young Leaders
What is this project about?
Creative Young Leaders offers young individuals in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire the opportunity to become integral parts of our city's vibrant cultural landscape by assuming leadership roles within their local Cultural Education Partnership (Partners in Creative Learning, Stoke-on-Trent & North Staffs CEP). Through active involvement in this project, young people collaborate closely with partners to establish high-quality arts and cultural education as standard expectations for children and young people across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire. Not only do young people gain access to a wealth of new training opportunities for personal and professional growth, but they also take on the role of trainers themselves, contributing to shaping the city’s arts and culture offerings.
What difference does the project make?
This project promises to make a significant impact by transforming opportunities for local children and young people while empowering young leaders. In year 1, participants engage in activities such as shaping the CEP's vision, mission, and values, gathering perspectives from local schools on crucial issues, identifying gaps in the city's cultural offerings through creative approaches, and playing a key role in developing the CEP's Environmental Policy. Through these activities, young leaders not only contribute to the cultural development of the city but also gain valuable skills and experiences that shape their personal and professional growth.
