Partners in Creative Learning Creativity Collaboration Change
Partners in Creative Learning (PiCL) is a new, independent organisation set up to deliver creative learning initiatives in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and the West Midlands, including the Creative Partnerships programme.
Creative Partnerships is the Government’s flagship creative learning programme. PiCL aims to meet national Creative Partnerships objectives and to complement creative learning and cultural strategies for children and young people in the area.
Launched in April 2009, PiCL facilitates and develops creative work with children and young people across three main areas:
- project management: we develop and deliver programmes for organisations such as Creativity, Culture & Education, Arts Council England, local authorities, the Department for Communities and Local Government and other stakeholders.
- consultancy and advisory services: we support the development of good practice locally and regionally by providing consultancy services to organisations that already work with young people.
- development: to support our project management and consultancy services, we undertake research, professional development and training, fundraising and contract tendering.
Our resources and knowledge focus on the impact that creative partners can have when working with children and young people over an extended period. We’re currently working with 47 schools across the region, as well as developing partnership projects and opportunities for professional development.
PiCL’s mission is to create more positive outcomes for children and young people in Stoke and Staffordshire, to enable them to find their strengths and fulfil their potential. We are dedicated to change, to making things happen and getting things done, with an emphasis on results, evidence, value and reaching the hard to reach.
